Hi, my name is Orville J. Parker aka COACH. I am the founder and owner of a little e-commerce startup called Trade Hippo LLC.  Our company specializes in buying and selling used and vintage merchandise.  We carry a variety of items that are sourced from various local and global sources.  Some of the items are known brands and products, while others are unique and obscure.

Trade Hippo LLC is proud of the fact that we are able to save and repurpose a lot of the used items we secure by putting it into the hands of buyers around the globe, who are looking for that exact item.

This allows us to do our small part of reducing the amount of items entering the landfills each year.

What Is Trade?

Trade involves the transfer of goods or services from one person or entity to another, often in exchange for money. Economists refer to a system or network that allows trade as a market. An early form of trade, the Gift economy, saw the exchange of goods and services without an explicit agreement for immediate or future rewards. 

A gift economy involves trading things without the use of money. Modern traders generally negotiate through a medium of exchange, such as money. As a result, buying can be separated from selling, or earning. 

The invention of money greatly simplified and promoted trade. Trade between two traders is called bilateral trade, while trade involving more than two traders is called multilateral trade.
